Ford Escape Capability Features

The Escape was originally released by Ford in 2000. This compact crossover SUV has remained a popular option in its category thanks in part to the Ford design team’s innovative capability features. Your choice of three possible engine designs, for example, is one such feature.

The Escape S, for instance, provides a 165-horsepower with a 2.5L inline 4 engine that includes i-VCT variable cam timing. When you’re looking for an EcoBoost engine, you might want the 1.5L option available in both the SE and SEL models. The 245-horsepower, 2.0L EcoBoost, on the other hand, features Twin-Scroll technology for peak performance. Whichever you choose, they’re offered with the six-speed SelectShift transmission that provides you with an automatic transmission while delivering the feel of a manual.
