Cross-Traffic Alert
The Ford Edge can sense vehicles crossing behind you as you're backing out of a parking space. This feature comes in handy when you're hemmed in on all sides in a busy mall parking lot, a loading dock or when you're backing out of an alley or other tight spot.
The Lane-Keeping System
The Ford Edge boasts an entire lane-keeping system designed to prevent or correct dangerous, unintentional lane drifting. Lane-Keeping Alert uses steering wheel vibrations to alert you to lane drifting. Lane-Keeping Aid deploys actual steering wheel torque to gently steer you back into your lane. Driver Alert communicates to you through the Ford Edge message center after repeated lane-drifting, a gentle suggestion that you should pull over and rest.
