Did you know that you should check your oil about every few hundred miles? It's a great habit to have and can save you tons of money down the road. I know this first hand to be true. I did a simple pre-check before going on a long trip one day and discovered that my oil cap was missing and most of my oil was gone. Had I not checked it, I would have killed my car and would have ended up stranded somewhere. So, make it a habit. It's also good to stay on top of those oil changes. If you don't, your car has to work harder to perform and that costs you more money out of your pocket. You work hard for your money, so why throw it away? Your oil has a lot of jobs-keeping things clean and from causing friction and overheating. Keep it clean!
